Sumerian History and Mesopotamian Culture
( Welcome to the Church of Critical Thinking! You're Going to Need It!)

All the Morals, Values and Benefits of Religion without Gibberish, Hypocrisy or Division

Who were the Sumerian's and what gods did they worship? The Sumerians from ancient Sumer - Mesopotamia (Current day Iraq, coincidently), are the first fully developed civilization on the Western hemisphere or "cradle of civilization".

From as far back as 5,000 to 6000 (4500 BC) years ago, the Sumerians are credited with inventing what is commonly believed to be the world's first writing system (preceding and inspiring Egyptian hieroglyphics). Most scientific establisments are puzzled as to how a civilization cam literally pop up out of nowhere and be so advanced. It's really very simple, especially when they tell you!

Their history is completely documented in specific detail on more then 30,000 neatly catalogued cuneiform tablets, and fragments of tablets, many of them painstakingly joined together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

Ancient tablet from the mesopotami antiquity era 4500 years ago The context of what the Sumerians claim scares the hell out of the current organized Religions. They of course dimiss it as "Mythology". Funny how 4000 years of detailed recorded history that pre dates "any" organized religion can be disregarded because it doesn't fit into the Church's sacrament, huh?

Well, considering it's religious ideology that's at the root of the world's war and terrorism problems, I suppose it's not THAT funny.

The first surviving texts, from Uruk, date from as early as 3500 B.C. Sumeria was replaced by Akkadian as a spoken language around 2000 B.C., but the written language remained integral to an elite scribal education for centuries afterwards. It became a class marker, much as Latin later was for Europeans. Cuneiform was eventually used to write some 15 languages.

The key to translating Sumerian was the discovery at Behistun, in present-day western Iran, of cuneiform royal inscriptions in Old Persian, Akkadian, and Elamite. Two competing amateur scholars saw that Old Persian was alphabetic, and they used ancient Greek sources on Persian kings to infer the proper names in the inscription. When they defined the letters for "king," that gave them enough" to crack the code.

It was one of my first reads when getting interested about ancient civilizations. It's reads like a scientific abstract (not very thrilling), but it's clear he follows the laws of scientific methodology so the data is consistent.

Sitchin is a linguist in command of many ancient languages who devoted most of his adult life studying and documenting interpretations of ancient Sumerian writings.

He links the complex calendar of Stonehenge and the enigmatic ruins of Tiahuanacu in South America (Peru) to the ancient culture of the Sumerians. He then show's how the Sumerians interacted with the Nibiruans, who are also called the Anunnaki, (Those who came from heaven to earth) .

These are the folks Sitchin and many others now insist not only created the Sumerian culture, but who also genetically created human beings (Homo Sapiens) as we know them by splicing their DNA with anthropoid ape-woman. (Poobah tends to think it was neanderthal women - but it is after all - just a thought) And yes, the Anunnaki, live upon, (or have a base on) this mysterious 12th planet, Nibiru . (Theorized today as "Planet X")

Sitchin has deciphered more then 2,000 clay cylinders from Mesopotamia and all around the Persian Gulf that existed some 6,000 years ago. Some of these fragments, which date to 4,000 B.C., can be found in museums around the world. Sumerian transcribed text

I've been studying the language myself and have pretty much got it. It's not terribly difficult once you realize the patterns, format and structure allowing a fluid interpretation.

I totally concur with Sitchin's interpretations as it can't be transcribed as anything else.

(Unless you have some agenda, of course.)

One fragment in particular, presently in Germany, indicates that Earth is the "seventh planet", counting in from Pluto. The time frame here is four millennia before modern astronomy confirmed the existence of Pluto as an actual planet in our solar system. So how did an ancient race of people know this fact? Sitchin says it is because these ancient people did not come from Earth, but from Nibiru.

Profound family squabbles eventually caused the Nibiruans to abandon planet Earth, leaving human beings to fend for themselves. These early humans would never possess the ability to travel among the stars like their creators, nor would they possess the immortality of their creators. (This is from Sithin's work - Poobah has not actually seen or read these particualr tablets)

Eons later, , we humans finally have sent an intelligently designed satellite probe beyond the confines of our solar system. Are we repeating our past? This is but one of the perplexing questions Sitchin investigates in his book, the Earth Chronicles.

Not only an eminent archaeologist, Sitchin is also a formidable analyst of ancient cultures, in fact, perhaps the best and most acknowledged ever. (He's even had meetings at the Vatican due to their "Extreme" interest in his research)

Sumerian medical text THE two most notable individuals to pay attention and meet with Sitchin were Colin Powell and Norman Schwarzkopf, the American Generals who of course were key figures in the recent Gulf War.

The landing place of the Nibiruans was in an area once called Eridu, now called Southern Iraq.

The main reason Saddam Hussein was not captured right away was because he was holding out in an ancient step pyramid constructed by one of those early civilizations mentioned by Sitchin, and which the Americans were loathe to bomb, because of their "inestimable" historical value.

Once the gloss of the media is removed from consensus reality, an entirely new picture emerges as to who knows what concerning what Sitchin has uncovered.
